Allison Smith, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who believes that effective mental health care begins with listening, understanding, and building trust. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, where she specialized in psychiatric mental health.
Allison has experience in behavioral health and addiction medicine, working with individuals facing a wide range of mental health and substance use challenges. Through this work, she developed a deep appreciation for how complex and personal each patient’s story can be, and she strives to approach care with empathy, respect, and curiosity.
She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults, and treats a variety of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, and substance use disorders. Allison believes that mental health treatment is most effective when patients feel comfortable, heard, and actively involved in their care.
Her approach focuses on collaboration, thoughtful medication management, and whole-person care, helping patients find practical and sustainable ways to improve their mental health and overall quality of life.
